HOG HUNT FUNDRAISER
A once-in-a-lifetime hunting experience that makes a
difference in the lives of our military heroes.
March 16-19, 2023
A thrilling experience in support of a great cause
Our annual helicopter hog hunt is a unique and exciting way to experience the thrill of the hunt while also supporting a great cause. We have partnered with professional pilots and hunters to provide a fun and safe adventure in the skies above Young County, Texas.
All proceeds from this event will go directly to Young County Warrior Ranch to help them continue their important work in serving those who have sacrificed so much for our country and community.
Date of the hunt: March 16-19, 2023
- 16 March – Travel Day
- 17 March – Training Day at our Ranch

- 19 March – Travel home day
Hunters from across the United States will convene and be hosted at our ranch. We’ll train them on helicopter safety and aerial marksmanship on Friday. We’ll shoot trap and hold various shooting competitions throughout the day on Friday. We’ll also begin the hog hunt for selected hunters who pay extra to shoot pigs on properties close to our ranch that evening. Saturday, at daybreak, we’ll start the hunt in earnest and use 12 helicopters over 50,000 acres of land in North Texas. Throughout the weekend, hunters are treated to free meals consisting of good ole Texas cuisine. About Young County Warrior Ranch
The Young County Warrior Ranch is a 501c3 non-profit organization. It’s located at 1889 Turtle Hole Road in Young County. It exists to assist Veterans of all eras. Specifically, we support physically and mentally Wounded Veterans and Active Duty Veterans. Veterans of all eras and Gold Star Family members.
We own a 20-acre ranch complete with a 4,000-square-foot fellowship barn with a kitchen, a 30-man bunkhouse, a stock tank, and a rifle range. Throughout the year we allow Veterans of any era to use the ranch for whatever purpose for free.
It costs us $1,500.00 per month to keep the ranch going. We pay for this exclusively through one fundraiser per year: The Helicopter Hog Hunt. We hold the hunt every year during the 3rd weekend of March. This date is selected because it’s still relatively cool and is outside the window of major hunting seasons. The 2023 Helicopter Hog Hunt will be held March 16-19.
